What I did on my Spring Break

Unlike lots of other parts of the country, Spring Break has come and gone for us. In case you're curious if I managed to get any writing done, watch the video to find out!

Happy Tuesday!

That looks like an awesome vacation. I love Alexandria. I spent President's Day there a few years ago. They make it a pretty big deal, for some reason. ;)

Thanks, Kayeleen! Holidays in the DC area really are special. There's so much going on there.

It looks like you had a blast--and that's the important part. :) The book festival looked awesome! *writing cookies* :)

It looks like you had a great time!

I will be there for the "dayjob" (but I get to take hubby) at the end of April. I LOVE D.C. My sister lived there for around 16 years & it baffles me to this day how she barely even explored such a culturally rich region.

I have never been to that fort...may have to add it to mine & hubby's list...

The festival looked like such fun!

It really is the important part, Danyelle. We had a great time, relaxed, and still managed to accomplish some (small) things.

I totally took DC for granted when I grew up there, Courtney. Now that I have kids, we do the tourist thing every year. It's fun to see it all again as an adult.
Have fun when you go!

looks like a great vacation! Where was that last shot filmed where you interviewed the guy in the blue sarcasm shirt. I was in VA last month and it looks similar to the hotel where I stayed.

Hey Christy, thanks! It's the Omni in Charlottesville. Were you there?

I smiled throughout that video. You are Ms Sunshine, I swear. You had fun and shared it--and that's what vacations are about.

Aw, that was SO cute. Dude, how do you not get scared to vlog? I have to make one this weekend and I am PETRIFIED. (So much scarier than querying)

Course...if I could look as cute on camera as you it *might* not be so hard. And your kids are precious!

But I think your video reminded me more than anything that I NEED TO BE REVISING. I have no good excuse, none at all. *sighs*

PJ Hoover said...

Aw, thanks, Tricia! You made my day!
I'm glad it made you smile :)

I can't wait to see your vlog, Shannon! It will be awesome. And all it takes for me is not focusing on how silly I feel.

Heehee. I didn't do any writing on my vacation, and all I did was lock myself in my house for six days. You had much better things to take up your time then I did. :)

What a fun vlog! I loved that fort. Very cool place.

That's great. Maybe no words written but you refueled your creative energies did book things like the festival and meeting with writer friends. I don't try and kid myself that I'll get writing done when I visit family. Maybe some reading though! And on sight research is the best!

PJ Hoover said...

The kids force me to get out and do things, Miriam. And every kids movie I watch can be considered "research" too.

I can see you having a great time at the fort, Christina!

I shouldn't fool myself, should I, Laura. But each time I do. I did get some amazing brainstorming done though!

Loved the video! You may not have gotten any words written, but no doubt you got plenty of inspiration.

PJ Hoover said...

Hey Adrienne! Great to hear from you! It's been ages. I hope all is going well with you and yours.
And thanks!

Mine starts tomorrow. Yay! We're pulling the kids out of school a couple days early and flying across the country. I love vacations :)

I can't wait to hear about it, Sherrie!

That was a blast to watch! How fun that your college buddy hooked you in writing! Sorry about the zero word count, but hey, can't win 'em all... ;)

Who cares about writing when you're on vacation! Really fun video. Thanks for sharing. (Would have liked to see your daughter dancing:) )

PJ Hoover said...

Have fun there, Shelli!

I was awed by my college buddy, Anne. It was so cool to know a real author.

LOL, MG! My daughter was hilarious. She loves the camera.

Hey PJ. I was at the Gaylord in DC. They seem to have similar designs.
