My Favorite Poem

Just a couple quick links:

Over on The Spectacle blog, I've listed some of the speculative ARCs I got at TLA. Are there any in particular you're looking forward to? (And rumor has it I'll be giving some of these away on my blog later this month and in months to come.)

Also, this week on The Texas Sweethearts blog, we're featuring Sara Kelly Johns who is running for ALA president! We were thrilled to meet Sara at TLA and are so happy to featured her!

*****

Okay, here's what I did in my spare time this morning—at least the actual filming part of it. When I memorized this, it took me about a month.
Enjoy!

Hope you're all having a great week!

Thanks, Anne! It's always been my favorite poem, and back in high school I wanted to memorize it. Took me twenty years to follow through on that :)

Thanks, Shannon! I love all the ARCs I got!

As are you, Angela! We can amaze each other together!

That's Jen! If there's one to remember, I figure that is it.

That is awesome. I suppose you can solve the Rubik's cube quickly too! Oh, yeah. You can! :)
I have a handful of Shel Silverstein poems memorized from childhood, but nothing as long as that!

Thanks, Kelly! let's get that Shel S. on video and see it!

That was super! I could see the story in my mind as you told it. I've never heard it before. It was lovely.

PS...You are so brave to do a vblog. :) (I'm a big chicken.)

(I can't open the vid right now, but I will when I get home!)

As for spec fic I'm looking forward to...right now I'd like to read Birthmarked (I've heard lots of good reviews), but MATCHED looks good, and there's a lot on your ARCs that look really interesting!

(I've got ETERNAL ONES and THE REPLACEMENTS, btw, and both are BRILLIANT.)

I'm looking forward to reading a ton of the books I got, Beth! I'll post as I read them. I think The Replacement is one of the ones I'm most interested in!

Yes, but don't you have a Korean phone number, Christina? Don't they have a lot more numbers?
