3 Days Left...

...until the New Year!

So here's what I'm asking:

1) What are you going to get done in the next three days?

Books to read?
Errands to run?
Propane tanks to paint?

2) How are you going to kick off the New Year?

Me...I'm jumping in the neighbor's pool bright and early New Year's Morning. The Polar Bear Club, right?
Anyone else game?

I'm hoping at some point to brave the snow-covered roads and get to the grocery store. Yes. I have high hopes.
And I don't think I'll be jumping in any pools at midnight!
Happy New Year!

It would be such fun, Chris! And nice and chilly. Maybe a nearby lake?

There's like several feet of snow on top of everything. I'm thinking I'm not jumping in any lake. :)

Hmmm...that is a little troublesome. Well, think of something :)

I'm thinking a glass of wine - or maybe some more of that brandy I had the other day.

I'm going to buy mini blinds, get a new couch we desperately need, and get an estimate for a sun room. Hm, think I'll be spending lots of money. I might prefer that to your pool. And of course I'm going to read, maybe write and be lazy.

I am getting the next chapter in my WIP done, and kicking off the new year with a pajama party :)

I wouldn't jump into a pool, but definitely a hot tub!

The hot tub will come later, Lynn. And the PJ party sounds like it's made of awesome! Enjoy it!

Natalie, it sounds like you're going to have a great few days! Best way to spend the holidays!

I'll join you for that glass of wine, Chris!

Awww, Baby New Year! He's a cutie.

I will not be jumping in the pool, not even in Austin. :)

I must get the house back in shape before we leave for a few days (in case a potential buyer looks at it). Plus make two batches of cookies. That's plenty. :)

Right now I'm at Myrtle Beach with the kids. I just finished one book and I'm working on a second one that I hope to finish by the new year. I've been able to get some reading and even ms planning by the poolside as the kiddo's swim. It's the nice way to end a year and bring in a new one. :0)

Good luck with the polar bear thing. brrrrrrr! ;0)

Polar bear club? Um, how cold is it in Austin?

I'm going to: help my daughter with her new baby (can't wait) and go out to lunch on NYE with family.

PJ Hoover said...

I must do it, Su! I must!

Good luck with the house, Kelly! And the cookies :)

Christy, it sounds like you're having an awesome time! Enjoy!

Marcia, it's supposed to be in the 30s on Saturday morning. Nice and chilly. Have fun!

You are too funny. We are actually making the drive to the in-laws to celebrate Christmas with them this weekend! Enjoy the chilly pool! :-)

PJ Hoover said...

Kelly, enjoy your weekend, too!

I am reading like a crazy person. It's basically all I've done for the last four days. Bliss...

My New Years plans are equally low-key. Soup, ice cream and sleep. Also I plan to NOT jump into a freezing pool. *snicker*

Happy New Year!

I hope you had a great new Year's, Miriam!
